Upon ariving on Inchmoan on Thursday teatime at my usuall spot There was the worst mess I've ever seen & ever had to clean up on the beach. Here are a couple of pictures I took with my phone while I was tidying up. Usually it don't bother me tidying up before I camp there but this mess was boiling my blood the more I seperated Glass, Cans & Burnables I just had to take pix. Sorry about the quality as it was with my mobile but I think you'll get the picture.
Whilst seperating out everything I came across a yellow envelope obviously a kids birthday card had been inside. Great kids birthday party on the beach eh! Buckie bottles, Lambrini bottles etc Oh! the kids name was Abi.
Must have had a really nice BBQ, Spicy Ribs, Chicken, Burgers. with lots of nice, Coleslaw, potato salad & various Dips all purchased from ASDA. A nice shiny new BBQ was purchased as well coz I burned the empty cardboard box it came in, but only 10yds along the beach there was the bloody BBQ.
Talk about a throw away society.
I also found an O2 phone top up card which had the number panel scratched off the back.
Gathered the bottles & cans in my own bags & took them over to duncan mills MS on Friday morning. Handed over the top up card with the envelope as possible evidence as to who it was that left the mess, to be told "we probably won't be able to do anything about it"
WHAT?
I said if there was a copper here right now I would hand him the card & showing him the pix of the mess. Surely they could trace who the top up card belonged to or does this just happen on TV.
Whatever happened to this large cross border police presence on Loch Lomond we were supposed to get that was in the papers & on the news to eliminate anti social behavour.
The closest I've seen to it is a couple of officers standing outside the entrance to duncan mills with their hands tucked inside their vests.
The warden took my phone number & said they would pass the information on.
I'll give it a week, if I ain't heard nothing back I'll E-mail the park authority.
Here's the pix
