Over the last few months I have heard of many horror stories about the poor condition of GRP boats in the marina. Many boats are not very old! The problem is worse in fresh water! I have been on the marina since it opened in 1991 and there are boats which have never been out of the water for a winter lay-up. The magazine Motor Boat & Yachting are interested in this story! I had a quick check recently at the Maid slipway. It only costs £300 for a check-up. If you leave this too long fixing this problem will run into thousands. Might be worth checking your bottom.
