COPY OF EMAIL MESSAGE FROM COLIN AT THE MARINA IN CASE ANYONE DIDN'T GET IT DIRECTLY
A short update on the weather its very, very cold.
So cold that clearing the jetty of ice and snow has become a mammoth task so please be extra careful when on the jetties we are doing our best to salt and clear the jetty as quickly as possible but please be aware it’s slippery under foot.
Temperatures have now dipped as per all the current forecasts and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight just yet. -12’C was recorded last night and that would be enough to penetrate any unprotected engine bay.
The water for the jetty has been drained down, but water can be obtained if you have a water can or a kettle from the marina office.
The black water pump has also been drained and isolated.
If anyone hasn’t taken any steps by now to protect their vessel from the winter weather then I would like to urge them to contact an engineer as soon as possible so as to minimise any damage this weather might cause. Even if it’s just for winterising information.
I have also included the last email below showing the current offers within the resort.
Kind regards
Colin
