| It's not only the Gents facilities that are not up to scratch! A large dirty, gritty puddle laced with hanks of hair has recently been a feature of several days in the middle of the floor in the shower/changing area in the Ladies. (The floor from the showers has sloped the wrong way since "refurbishment"!!). The toilet for the disabled is awash because "it leaks"! The bins have been full and overflowing. I have even had to ask in the Office for Loo Roll - embarrassing or not!! Ever hopeful, I visited the Restaurant loos one evening only to find the same overflows and shortages. Are you only supposed to use the facilities immediately after it's once-a-day clean? (This being one more daily clean than the Members' facilities have had recently.) Is this what to expect for fees of £3,500+ p.a. these days? Obviously Housekeeping is not one of Cameron House Hotel's strengths. What do others think about this? Regards MJ | |

| Hi MJ and welcome to the forum.
The " Facilities" have, as you know, been an issue for years now and we all hoped they would have been sorted during the refurb.
My wife has told me similar reports. I know that there is a sewage smell in the gents showers and that the management are aware of this but haven't heard about any planned remedies unless other members have.
I recon the least you should expect in a 5 star resort is loo paper. Did the office offer any explanation ?

| Hi Carboss No explanation given but as always Marina staff were very apologetic and responsive. I appreciate that this is not part of their remit but who else can we complain to? - and complain we ALL must, otherwise it won't be sorted. The problem lies elsewhere, don't you think? A budget problem? Or just lack of understanding that Public facilities need attention from opening till closing time? MJ | |

| That's just it MJ they're not public facilities we pay for the private facilities through our fee's. thats why you need a members fob to use them.
Towels ,showers, toilets including bog roll are part of the mairina amenities. and should be monitored by the marina staff.
Even if its not their job to provide the manpower they have the access to the housekeeping staff to get the job done.

| Hi, Paul You are absolutely right! Perhaps if marina staff were employed to service Members' facilities instead of Celtic Warrior the members would be a damn sight better off and a lot happier. MJ | |

| Hi Zappy & welcome to the forum,
I am sure you do find the facilities great, I would to if all I had to do my duties in was a porta Poti or an area next to a tree on an island.
Still I am pleased my £4200.00 a year private marina members only facility was put to good use for you to do your duties in, I should also make you aware that the evenings in the shower area are free to use as well as no security is around to stop you using them. LOL

| He must be refering to the resturant toilets which are open to the public anyway and are usually much cleaner than the shower rooms. If he was in the "Members" facilities then someone forgot to close the door properly..................and that's down to some dozy member..................we all need to watch for this guys.(and Gals). | |
