Hi All,

Last time I asked if the MMA had any views on the new site I had over 30 Hits but no reply's

Does this mean the MMA are dead in the water or just envious of the new site. ?

Pity they dont want to reply as in the past they have sought members support on various topics.

Maybe its time to put them out to pasture.

" Marina Members Accociation"

I've seen an e-mail from them yesterday promoting this forum address and links so I guess they do aprove and i'm sure that there will be plenty of MMA members join the forum if they are not already here.

Carboss, didnt you know that Pirate is the hotel manager in drag ? Anyway, like the hotel manager, what did Pirate ever do for the marina members. Tell us Pirate.

All he,s interested in is a beauty contest bewteen forums, and stiring the pot against MMA members. Lets all find out who he is, take his trousers down and give him a good old fashioned spanking - me first by the way.

Kisses on the bottom queen

scratch I noticed that some members are not putting their boat details ( If they have one). Is that because they have something to hide ?.

As long as you stand by your posts surely there is nothing to be gained by hiding. Suspect

Well he he is not a hotel manager but might be somebody closer to yourselfs. I would look out for a pirate flag.

The MMA did agree to post the forum web site address on the newslatter, but the forum is not run by the MMA. They can register onto the site and answer points raised if they wish to.

Hi Boys & Girls,

Yes I have a boat on the marina but I am ashamed of its condition to post a picture.

Anjo is closest as I do have a flag, But the thought of a spanking sounds like my kinda fun, So much less pain than a keel hauling.

Guys (and Gals)

Perhaps the reason that people don't post their boat details is that it (perhaps) is an advertisment as to their assets.

With the recent spate of thefts etc, posting details of your boat, berth and (probably at some other time) details of it's contents, does mean you are exposing yourself somewhat.

There perhaps is a train of thought that user id's/passwords should be granted once verified as marina members, and thus minimise the chance that the neds gain valuable intelligence as to possible targets.

Working in the IT industry myself, I understand the challenges that online data can present; perhaps the site admin(s) should consider an authentication process for enrollment (such as cross-checking with Colin)?

Sorry, I don't mean to stiffle the forum, but perhaps in light of recent events it is a constraint that may need to be taken.

Cheers
Kenny

p.s. I'm sure we don't need to stretch to SecureID's!

I have recently changed the registration slightly so that it is compulsory that you say if you are a marina member or not and if you are, what is your berth number. This is so that I can identify who is a marina member if I was going to set up a marina members only forum. This information is only viewable by me though, not the public, so it is secure. The other fields such as boat name are optional so you are not forced to display this information to the public.

Also, the general forum is open to everyone on the loch and beyond, so I don't want to restrict it to just marina members being able to register.

Cheers
Craig
