Does anybody know the owner of L6531 a Mariah SC23/25 berthed at Cameron?

If you do would you please pass on my sincerest of thanks to him for towing me in to Duncan Mills on Sunday night. I suffered a breakdown due to water in my fuel south of Duck Bay

Without this guy stopping (and his family/guests aboard) I probably would have been floating there for a while with my wife and kid. What makes this act even kinder is that despite the fact that he was running low on fuel he still accepted my tow - rope.

If you've ever been in my position you'll know what I mean when I say thanks. It fair restored my faith and that decent people still do exist in this part of the country.

Please help me identify this guy so that I can give him a bottle of something nice as a thank you.

Is that the one at the very end of B leg nearest to the slip ?

Dunno Paul. I assumed he came from Cameron 'cause that's where he headed after dropping us off. He might just have been going in for fuel, but I didn't get that impression.

I know one guy, Ian,just came back this season after about 6 years away. Tall thin guy with suspect tan and dark hair, Always wears shades on top of his head even when its cloudy.


If you give me both of the champagne bottles i'll make sure he gets them

Mmm, dunno about the description....he did have dark hair, no sunnies and no tan

I'd have thought something other than Champers would be nicer......you all must get sick of quaffing it out there in el Porto Cameron .........some of us mortals are stuck with Lambrini

what time were you out on the water ? got back from the islands about 7.30pm, always keep an eye out for boats sitting out in the water.

Hi Jim, it all went pete tong about 6.00pm.......just as that big manky rain burst came in from the east..........managed to dodge it just off Inchmurrin after following an S29 down the middle of the loch....pulled out to pass got into the chop and....putt,putt,splutter..........silence.

Yeah, forums shaping up well...mucho respect to the founders AND I think it'll be better than "the other one". If "they" are all still coming up next year as discussed we could maybe get this forum involved

The forum has taken off very well and the idea was to bring Loch lomond boaters closer together as many have varied experiences of the loch to pass onto others.

It is good to see it getting used and I hope you will pass on the web site address to your friends who boat in the loch as well.
