Where not to park your car

Hi, Just a friendly word of warning for anyone who parks their car at the roadside between the boat house and the lodges heading in the Balloch direction. On Sunday i parked there as usual at 12pm, at approx 12.30pm a family of 4 on mountain bikes passed and the male adult crashed into my M3 leaving two dents and some scratches, he managed to dust himself down and scarper with his family.

A big thanks to the marina member who saw him and who reported it to the marina staff, i just wish you had dragged him back to report it, we managed to see them pass on the video by the marina cameras but they did not capture the incident and after calling the police it looks like i'll be out of pocket a few hundred pound for parking there as there is nothing we can do

So park there at your peril folks

There is a company at the Lomond Shores that hire out bikes for the day and require ID.You might just get lucky and they must have insurance. If the Numpty fell off his bike he might just have hired them for the day.

Cheers for that Paul, i'll give them a call in the morning, but i think the fact they had the backpacks, helmets etc looked to be more than day trippers, probably still at the lodges enjoying their holiday, lol

I know the feeling as I have the same problem when i leave the car at the heliport and end up with dents and scrapes. That is why I just use an old disco and the same applies to supermarket trolleys and the marina car park. Wait until you get the dent on the bonnet from a golf ball from the wee demon gplf course. Ouch
