--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi All.

During our stay at the island on 19/20 June we noticed a 2" diametre spike about 3 Feet from the surface, Its located about 30 foot straight out from the right hand corner of the jetty as you look at it from the Loch.

It is in fact the top of one of the anchors holding the jetty.

We reported this to the ranger who said he would put it in the daily diary which means noting will happen until you get your out drive ripped off or the larger boats have the hull torn open, Either way you boat will loose to this huge anchor which is identical to the one seen on the shore to the right of the jetty.

We marked it with a plastic water bottle & tied it securely but you know someone may try to remove it.

Good luck & safe cruising to all

Hi Chris,

The Yacht must be very close to it.

Not out as far as Billy but you can see the chain also coming from the jetty.

We will also be over this weekend keep an eye out for Moondarra he will probably be over on Friday night & hopefully the bottle is still working.

Will take old fender across Saturday & tie this on

Steve,

I will be leaving hopefully about lunch time if not before to head over. See you then.

The Island is going to be very busy over the weekend. Dream Catcher from the marine has the island all booked up for his family and friends- should be a great weekend.

I will be with Laura & Cameron, leaving Baby Ross at home with Gran!

Hi Campbell,

Have a good one

All - an update.

According to the Rangers at Duncan Mills Memorial Slipway they have moved the anchor - it has been laid back down and the danger is gone. They said that they will be checking it again this week.

Jonathan

cheers
