Hi guys, new owner here, I'm looking for advice , we want to use our boat through winter, can anyone recommend someone who could "winterise" our boat, and any advice regarding keeping boat safe during winter would be appreciated.

Just so you are aware winterise means you cannot use it unless you can reverse the process, The best thing is to use a space heater in the engine bay on a thermostat or you winterise the engine yourself which is not to hard.

Are you down this weekend & what leg & berth are you as its not a big job mate.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me, tbh we would like to be able to use the boat through the winter, would you recommend this? Or is it safer " winterising " and not going out in it till end of winter.
I'm in berth 160, and yea we will be down this weekend, im Chris btw .

Hi Chris, We use ours over the winter as do a few other hardy souls, The loch is a great place during the winter as its quiet & generally calmer during the day when its a bright & crisp.

Another forum to look at is the Boat loch lomond one http://excoboard.com/26215

A lot of useful info especially techy info & Questions from guys who have been on the Loch a long time.

Will look out for you over the weekend, Mine is Buoyo on A Leg

Cheers Steve
