Weather doesent look too bad this weekend.. not sunny but reasonably dry..

Not Camping tonight, but I'll be in the water tomorrow from around midday. I'm heading up to ardlui then into hotel for a meal then back down again.

Currently sitting behind Invhmoan, hiding out of the wind.. may have to move soon as getting fed up listening to the generator on the Sealine infront of me breaking the peace..

Crap day though.. windy and wet....

Amazing the number of people that dont know this is a NO wash zone... tied up with a few friends at the mo.. and a few plonkers nearly causing some damage...argh.. rantover :-)

If you are staying tonite in Ardlui Zebedee.. if u want a quiet berth if the pier is too busy or windy mine is 74.. just check with Glen/Bill its ok first

I'm home & dry long ago jumpy, went up to Ardlui yesterday. had a meal in the hotel then headed back.
You mention the sealine thats had his generator running, I wonder if thats the same plonker with the sealine s37 that moved my boat from ardlui pier so he could squeeze his boat in. don't mind anyone moving my boat but at least try & understand I tied it up in a certain place & a certain way to save damage to my boat ie. having the fender against one of the concrete pilings that hold the pier up. The reason for doing this is I only have a WEE boat & the fenders need to rest on the concete as the boat is too low & the hull section can fit under the pier so the fender does nothing other than hang from the boat if you know what I mean.

Anyway, Fanny bawz in the sealine moved my boat to a place where the fender did hee haw other than just hang from my boat. The result a scrape mark on the side of my boat which was probably caused by the wooden plank running along the pier. I never noticed it at the time as it is kinda hard to see when looking from above but I noticed it as soon as I pulled the boat out at balloch. I never left the boat the whole day other than when we went in for a meal. Just wished I had noticed it before I left Ardlui. I think it will polish out but it ain't the point.
What I'm battling with at the moment is was the owner of the sealine just thick or was it a case of "hey my boat is 37' & I need to toss that 18' out of the way somewhere to get my boat in"
So Mr Sealine If you read this, that wee regal bowrider is my pride & joy & it's ALL paid for with my HARD earned cash so have a wee think to yourself next time you move someones boat eh!

I see you have had some fun over the weekend. Shame that some boaters spoil it for others with speeding around the narrows and moving boats without permission. The chap with the S37 should have spoke to Bill first, but appears he just stupidly moved the boat. Have you spoken to Glen or Bill as they may have seen the chap and may have recognise the boat.

I am out in the North Sea amongst the real stuff for the next few weeks, so missede out on the weekend.

Never spoke to anyone about it as I never noticed it till I had the boat back on the trailer at Balloch. Never mind though it should polish out. Do S37's have bung plugs?

The Sealine on the main jetty has bene here for a few weeks, was up for a survey for hull damage I believe.. is it that one your referring to ? .

don't think it's been there for a few weeks as I was also up 2 weeks ago & all there was tied up was the ferry & a masterctaft. in fact I have a pic of the mastercraft somewhere.
I passed the sealine on the way up maybe around the inveruglas area. I was there on the main jetty before him so not too sure if he's had a hull repair done.
To be honest Jumpy I ain't too bothered now as I've just put it down to the guy having "All the Gear with NO Idea"
Lesson for me is if someone moves my boat, check it over no mater if I feel bad about scrutinising my boat once I get back when the guy & his family are right next to me, personaly I've felt that to be a bit ignorant. But not anymore, I'll be checking.

It was on the hoist for a week and has been on the main jetty for a least two.. it was there last weekend and this weekend I am sure.. the hull was damaged and it was being surveyed for repair
