I have some friends coming up next weekend from down south with their boats & was wondering what the price was for petrol at cameron house. Do you pay a premium for it.
Would they be better off filling gerry cans at a forecourt or what?

Been a few weeks now since i put £££££££££'s of fuel in but i'm sure it was arround £1.15 a litre for petrol, i know diesel is cheaper which i found interesting as its the other way arround on the forecourts so i'm suspecting most of the boats at the marina are petrol

But i guess the slightly dearer price from the forecourts is outwayed by the need for loads of gerry cans and all the filling you have to do, at least at the marina i can just pull up, fuel up and head out, oh and you get a free pump attendant so no fuel on you if you have the DT's from the night before, lol

Also don't know if its the same price for marina members or non members, would like to think i get a discount but probably not

It used to be an extra 5p for non-members. Not sure if thats still the case though.

Still pretty High price though lads, thanks for the reply I love you

Campbell, diesel would be cheaper because it's Gas oil (red diesel) which has less duty on it Wink

Diesel I am told is £1.10 a litre.. aprox 10p more expensive per litre than a petrol station.

I find this odd as this would appear to be the full taxable rate, I thought that you could declare so much for heating and so much for genny etc and that the new red rate was less than the road taxable rate ? anyone know ?

I don't remember seeing a price list but this is due to be fitted to the fuel jetty soon.
