| Hi, I'll be camping on Inchmoan 21st - 23rd July probably on the north beach due to the wind forecast (13mph S-SW) If any of you chaps with the big ships have any champers spare, chuck them my way. Of course the empty bottles will be recycled at DM slipway bottle banks as well as the usual buckie bottles that are usually found dumped on the beach. Failing that just give us a blast of the horn | |

| Looks like I won't be going tonight, too much wet stuff from the sky. Off for 3 days though, so things may brighten up Where's this global warming that we're all being stung for by the government | |

| You can go next week end or the weekend after that. We still have a few months to go before the end of the season. | |

| I was up at Inchmoan today to give the bottom of the boat a scrub in the shallow water. Think we had about 30 minutes in the whole day where it wasn't raining! Very peaceful because of it though. One thing I noticed was loads of rubbish just dumped on the beach. Name and shame time I think | |

I'm off next weekend, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun. But my son comes back from cadet camp on saturday so may even just travel back to stirling just to pick him up, then over to Inchmoan. The seasons weather started off really well too. As for the end of the season, I only have end of season for camping, I still go out on the water during the winter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXzwZSALukIThis was taken 30th Dec last year, I broke my ribs last year wakeboarding & am still to this day very wary of falling off. Gotta keep at it, fear is there to be overcome. (2nd most painful bone I've ever broken)

One thing I noticed was loads of rubbish just dumped on the beach. Name and shame time I think To be honest all the camping I've done this year I've had south Inchmoan to myself. I've obviously just missed the litter louts. As for naming & shaming, You've to catch them at it first. What I've found in the past though when I'm camping is that when someone else is packing their boat to leave, let it be obvious that your watching them by not turning away when they glance over to you. Give them the usual friendly wave, letting them know that I'd notice any rubbish. No rubbish has ever been left. The 6'4" 18st grizzly can't be everywhere all of the time. In fact 2 years ago there was a young crew on south beach for the day, we had a great laugh with them. They couldn't believe how beautiful the beach was, I explained that it aint always like that & showed them the black bag I had filled if bottles & half burned beer cans & just explained how important it was to take your rubbish back to Balloch & leave the island looking as good if not better than when you arrived. They couldn't agree more. The swines left 1 empty beer can on the beach. Guess who was camping when they came to the island this year, (aahhemm!) They were really appologetic about it & we had another great laugh with them that day, when they were leaving I jokingly went over to where they were & scanned the area, the place was spotless. Everytime we meet we have a laugh about it. The best thing about it, I think I got my message across.
